Sales at Geely Automobile Holdings, the largest domestic Chinese carmaker, fell nearly 19 percent from a year earlier to 103,908 in April after a 3 percent rebound in March.

The decline was caused by the company¡¯s Geely mass-market brand, whose deliveries tumbled 22 percent last month to 93,788.

Sales of the company¡¯s Lynk & CO premium brand, which was introduced in late 2017, totaled 9,103 in April, nearly flat from a year earlier.

On April 11, Geely launched sales of the first product under its Geometry electric vehicle brand. Sales of the Geometry A compact sedan totaled 1,017 last month.

For the first four months, the private Chinese company¡¯s deliveries dropped 9 percent year on year to 470,496.

Because of the weak domestic car market, Geely expects to sell 1.51 million vehicles in 2019, less than a 1 percent increase from 2018.
