Brose Group launched output at a new plant last week in Taicang in the east China city of Suzhou as the German supplier continues to hike production in China.

By 2024, the plant will have more than 1,600 employees and annual revenue is expected to exceed 5.8 billion yuan, according to the German supplier.

Brose operates 12 plants and employs some 4,400 people in China. In 2017, the company¡¯s revenue generated in China approached 9.1 billion yuan, accounting for 20 percent of global revenue.

By expanding local production, Brose aims to generate 30 percent of its annual global revenue from China in 2025, CEO Kurt Sauernheimer said in March this year.
