BEIJING (Sept. 8, 2016) ¨C SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) today celebrated the
launch into the Chinese market of the newest product in the portfolio of the
fast-growing Baojun brand ¨C the 310 hatchback.
Featuring a youthful and modern appearance, the
Baojun 310 offers segment-leading technology along with a spacious and
functional interior that is coupled with an efficient powertrain to meet the
demands of car buyers throughout China.
Available in four variants, the Baojun 310 is
priced between RMB 36,800 ($5,521) and RMB 49,800 ($7,472).
Modern Exterior, Functional Interior
The Baojun 310¡¯s 2,550-mm wheelbase is the longest
among hatchbacks in its class, providing a spacious ride for those in front and
back. Its rear seat has a width of 1,233 mm. The Baojun 310 also has 200 liters
of trunk space. Its 4/6 split-folding rear seats have a flat-folding function,
allowing for up to 1,000 liters of flexible cargo space to accommodate bulky
The Baojun 310 has a youthful, modern exterior. Its
double-U-shaped front end carries forward the brand¡¯s traditional styling. The
U-shaped upper grille is complemented by an inverted U-shaped lower grille, for
a vivid visual effect. Its sharp dual beltlines together with its sleek body
exude a sense of strength, while its rear end is rugged yet refined.
The interior adopts a new style that is both simple
and functional in line with the needs of users. An all-black center console and
dual-color leather seats combine to add to the dynamic feeling. The hatchback also
comes with a power sunroof along with 18 storage spaces.
Advanced Comfort and Safety Technology
One of the Baojun 310's most prominent features is
a high-resolution 8-inch LCD screen on top of its center console. It integrates
Bluetooth to enhance the infotainment experience.
The Baojun 310 is among the safest vehicles in its
class, offering available cruise control and four air bags. These are features
never before offered in a hatchback priced below RMB 50,000. It also comes with Electric
Power Steering (EPS), rearview mirrors with a heating function, a
reverse radar and backup camera, GPS navigation, ISOFIX child safety seat mountings, and anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce
With SGMW's newly developed 1.2L naturally
aspirated engine, the Baojun 310 achieves an ideal balance between power and
fuel efficiency. The engine generates maximum power of 60.3 kW and maximum
torque of 116 Nm at 3,600 rpm, along with fuel economy of 5.3L/100 km. It
offers a dynamic response when
starting, accelerating and going up hills.
The Baojun 310 is the latest member of the Baojun
family. Baojun has been among the fastest-growing vehicle brands in China since
its introduction in 2010. Last year, Baojun delivered a record 463,532
vehicles. Sales remained strong in the first eight months of 2016, with
deliveries rising 71.3 percent on an annual basis to 382,815 units.
