BorgWarner supplies electric drive module to Great Wall's EVs
Automotive News China | 2018/9/21

DETROIT -- BorgWarner Inc. is providing its electric drive module for electric vehicles made by Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor Co.

Great Wall became BorgWarner¡¯s first customer for the technology in China, the U.S. supplier said.

The locally produced electric drive module has been used in the redesigned Great Wall-badged C30 compact electric sedan as well as inexpensive compact and subcompact electric cars Great Wall has rolled out under its new Ora brand.

Integrated with its transmission and high-voltage hairpin electric motor, the electric drive module provides primary or secondary propulsion for full-electric or hybrid vehicles, BorgWarner said.
