Dana launches output of thermal control systems in Yancheng
Automotive News China | 2018/5/25

U.S. supplier Dana Inc. launched a plant in the east China city of Yancheng to produce thermal management products for conventional and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

The 105 million yuan ($16.7 million) factory covers 8,000 square meters (86,000 square feet) and at full capacity can build 8 million thermal acoustical shields and battery cold plates annually for plug-in hybrid vehicles, Dana said.

Dana has established 16 plants in China to produce axles, propeller shafts, transmissions, sealing products and thermal control components for global and domestic Chinese automakers.

The company employs roughly 6,500 employees at its wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures.

Dana, of Maumee, Ohio, posted global sales of $7.2 billion in 2017.
