GM sales rise 13% in November as Baojun, Cadillac thrive

SHANGHAI - General Motors said deliveries of its various brands rose 13 percent year on year to 418,225 vehicles in November, on strong demand for luxury cars and entry-level models.
 
For the month, Cadillac sales jumped 23 percent to 16,629 units, led by its best-selling model, the XT5 luxury SUV.
 
Meanwhile, deliveries of GMs Baojun brand rose 52 percent to 113,711 vehicles, led by its most popular model, the 510 SUV. Chevrolet sales rose 17 percent to 61,228 vehicles, on strong demand for the Malibu sedan.
 
Buick sales edged up 3 percent to 112,738 vehicles, nudged by healthy sales of the GL8 MPV.
 
On the downside, demand for the Wuling lineup of entry-level minibuses remained soft, with sales down 6.3 percent to 113,919 vehicles.
 
For the first 11 months, GM sales increased 3.3 percent to 3.55 million vehicles.
