Roechling opens Shenyang plant to supply BMW Brilliance Automotive
Automotive News China | 2017/10/24

SHENYANG -- German supplier Roechling Automotive said it has opened a factory in the northeast city of Shenyang to produce components for BMW Brilliance Automotive.

The 16,000-square-meter (172,223-square-foot) plant employs 81 workers who produce wheel arch liners, floor panels, grille shutters, air filters and other parts. Roechling invested 3 million euros (23 million yuan) in the plant.

Roechling¡¯s factory in Changchun has produced plastic components for BMW Brilliance since January, and the company built its Shenyang plant to meet rising demand.

The Shenyang plant is Roechling¡¯s fifth factory in Asia. Roechling entered China in 2006 when it launched its Changchun plant. The company also has factories in Chengdu and Kunshan.

¡°China is a key market for Roechling and remains a focal point for our investments,¡± said company CEO Erwin Doll at the Shenyang plant¡¯s opening ceremony.
