Infiniti deliveries rise 19% behind crossovers, SUVs
Reuters | 2017/10/6

BEIJING -- Nissan Motor Co.'s premium Infiniti brand sold 4,479 vehicles in China last month, up 19 percent from a year earlier.

For the first nine months, Infiniti deliveries rose 16 percent to 33,804 vehicles.

Infiniti's CEO Roland Krueger said the brands global growth over the past couple of months has been fueled by strong sales of crossovers and SUVs. The brand also expects a lift from the redesigned Q50 sedan, which is currently launching worldwide.

Company spokesman Trevor Hale said the Hong Kong company plans to build momentum by launching two additional redesigned models -- both SUVs -- over the next three to four months.

Hale added that Infiniti plans to launch a long-wheelbase version of the Q50 sports sedan -- called the Q50L -- in China in the coming months.

The car will debut at the Guangzhou auto show in November.
