Spanish supplier Grupo Antolin opens interior trim plant in Wuhan
Automotive News China | 2016/4/15

Grupo Antolin opened a plant in Wuhan to produce headliners and door panels for Renault, PSA, Nissan, Infiniti and Honda.

The 11 million euro (80.3 million yuan) factory will employ 125 workers by the end of the year. The plant is a joint venture with Dongfeng Visteon. Renault and Dongfeng will be the primary customers.

Dongfeng Visteon, which was formed in 2003, produces instrument panels, door panels, bumpers and other components. The company sells parts to PSA, Nissan, Honda, Dongfeng Motor Corp. and others.

China has been a major growth market for Grupo Antolin, which operates 10 factories and 2,300 employees in the country. In 2014, the supplier generated 12 percent of its global revenue in China, up from 1 percent in 2007.

Grupo Antolin, based in Burgos, Spain, has relied on acquisitions and organic growth to become a major global supplier of interior trim.
